As I write this article, the final hours of the 2007 legislative session are quickly approaching. Although the end is near, a number of priority issues remain to be addressed. Members of the House and Senate are working hard to tie up loose legislative ends.

The two biggest challenges remaining as I write to you are the biennium budget and transportation funding. Hopefully, workable proposals will flow from the Conference Committees appointed for each issue by the time you read this article.
