COLONIAL HEIGHTS - Woodlawn Baptist Church will celebrate homecoming, this Sunday. The Rev. Dr. Robert McKinley, pastor of Woodlawn from 1970 until 1976, will bring the message during the 11 o'clock worship service.

Dr. McKinley is a Richmond, native. He received a BA from the University of Richmond, a Bachelor of Divinity from Golden Gate Theological Seminary, and a Doctor of Ministry from Union Theological Seminary. He has served as pastor of three Virginia Baptist churches, Surry Baptist, Woodlawn Baptist and most recently, Beal Memorial Baptist in Tappahannock. He retired in 2005. Through the years, he has been heavily involved in community service.
