Mr. Willie Luster Turner, 913 Covington Court, Waverly, departed this life into eternal rest on Saturday, Sept. 30, 2006, at MCV/VCU Hospital, Richmond. He was the son of Minnie Lockett Turner and the late John Horace Turner Sr. He was a member of St. Paul's Holiness Church and served faithfully until his illness progressed. He was preceded in death by a brother, Mac Arthur Turner.
Willie was born, Sept. 24, 1952, in Waverly, Va., and received his education through the Sussex County Public Schools. He furthered his education through the Job Corps during his teen years. He was a lifelong resident of Waverly. Willie was employed by the Town of Waverly and The Steward Lumber Co. of Surry, Va., for a number of years until his health failed.See the full content of this document
