Wegot the rain! Good and slow. Every drop went in. The yards and pastures are green, and I saw water standing where I haven't seen any in two years. But don't get overjoyed. The drought is still on, and it doesn't take much heat and lack of rain to bring the dry weather back on the scene, but maybe this year we will be spared.

The rain ruined most of the turkey gobbler season last Saturday for the 15 year olds and younger. The main season is not in now, but my old pal Austin Branzelle got a nice gobbler opening day. That boy can sure get the game. He sure got some nice deer last year, too. That boy is one sharp shooter.
