PETERSBURG -- The Petersburg tradition of NostalgiaFest, including the music, food and fun, are set to kick-off Friday. This year, the event's planners are hoping it will be one of the biggest and best ever.

"Over the course of the three-day event we're expecting about 15,000 to 20,000 people to come out," said Jim Wilson, president of Downtown Petersburg Inc. and chairman of the NostalgiaFest committee. DPI has been the planning organziation for the event since 2002. "Every year attendance grows, so we're thinking we'll probably get to about 20,000 visitors."
