COLONIAL HEIGHTS - For a city that has only existed for a little over six decades, Colonial Heights has a surprising amount of history, and this weekend an important part of that history was on display.

The city-owned Violet Bank Museum hosted its third annual Headquarters Days on Saturday and Sunday, honoring the property's role as the temporary residence of two generals who played important roles in U.S. history, the Marquis de Lafayette and Robert E. Lee.
