Summary


It did get cooler, but there was very little rain; every drop we got was appreciated. This earth is thirsty.

Father's Day was wonderful. My daughter, Gail Caroline, took me to Lonestar steak house and what a meal. It was delicious. I had the prime rib, it couldn't have been better; the salad was excellent and and there was key lime pie for dessert. I was eating like a king. There was a crowd there -- we had to wait -- but it was worth it . When Father's Day comes around again, I sure want to go back to Lonestar.

The Three Musketeers Come Calling From Nebraska

Remember the lightning that struck the big cypress trees in Gail's yard. The tree shows no sign of dying. In fact, it's beautiful. If that tree lives it will be a miracle because that was one big bolt of lightning. I have seen some trees survive, but not often. I've got my fingers crossed and I'm hoping for the best.

My son Darrell and his family are back from Spain. They had a blast, and took pictures galore, too. It was a trip of a lifetime.
