On September 27th around 12:30 p.m., I left home intending to celebrate my daughter's birthday with a surprise luncheon with the family. After entering the Hilton Garden Inn, I was pleasantly surprised by friends and family, with cheers of Happy 65th Birthday. After many joyful tears, along with a parade of hugs, I enjoyed an afternoon of friends, family and fun. The afternoon festivities included a delicious brunch, an eloquent blessing of the food by Thurman White Jr., grandson of honoree, a fashion show recognizing each decade of my life commentated by Ms. Cynthia Furrowh, mistress of ceremony for the day.
The models included Shante Shaw, Destiny Shaw, Quashai Shaw, Jocelyn Clark, granddaughters; along with friend of the family, Cherease Pope. Performances by Jeffrey Clark Jr. and Jocelyn Clark and a slide show presentation by Quashai Shaw, grandchildren, were also amongst the entertainment for the day.See the full content of this document
