Samuel Steger Watkins, 95, of Amelia County, died Sept. 22, 2007 at Dunlop House, Colonial Heights. He was a native of Dinwiddie County but spent most of his life in Amelia. He was the son of the late Jerry and Effie Watkins, and the widower of Anne Blanton Watkins.
Mr. Watkins was the retired co-owner of Beaver Pond Roller Mills in Amelia, a charter member of the Amelia Ruritan Club and an active member of Tabernacle United Methodist Church. He served his church as the lay leader, treasurer, sunday school teacher and as a member of the finance committee and the administrative board for many years.See the full content of this document
