PRINCE GEORGE -- Jeremy Wells celebrated his 16th birthday in fine fashion Monday by firing a 1-under-par 71 to lead host Prince George to a win in the Prince George Invitational. The Royals finished with a team total of 311 at the Prince George Golf Course, a performance they hope will be a sign of good things to come in this upcoming season.

As a sophomore in 2005, Wells won the Central District tournament and placed in third in the Central Region. He also was the lone representative from the district at the state tournament. The Royals standout has set even loftier goals for his junior year.
