HOPEWELL -- City Council Friday night took more actions with the police department, removing Capt. Ray Baxley from the position of interim chief and authorizing the city manager to locate a new temporary chief of police.
The vote was taken during an open session, and by a vote of 4-1 council requested that City Manager Alan Archer locate the new temporary police chief from outside the department and that the person hired have previous command experience.See the full content of this document
