COLONIAL HEIGHTS -- Despite rainfall that partially replenished Lake Chesdin, City Council is bringing forward more stringent conservation measures. During a Tuesday work session, council members decided to cut watering to three 14-hour periods per week.

At its last meeting, the council voted to enact water restrictions including a ban on watering lawns and gardens between 8 a.m. and 8 p.m. Several members were unhappy with the original ordinance, leading to the special session Tuesday.
