PETERSBURG -- Citizens of the Tri-Cities and surrounding counties will be able to voice there concerns about the expansion of Fort Lee at a public hearing regarding the Draft Environmental Impact Statement at Union Station Wednesday night.

The Draft EIS covers the proposed renovation and construction necessary to accommodate the increase in population and mission that the post will take on as a result of the Base Realignment and Closure Act of 2005. The post will nearly double in size by September 2011, when all BRAC recommendations have been implemented.
