Prince George Presents Service Awards

Summary


PRINCE GEORGE - On Dec. 17, Prince George County held its Annual Service Awards Ceremony. The following employees received service awards for their years of exceptional service to the county:

- Russell W. Blystone, police captain - 30 years of service: Captain Blystone began employment with the County of Prince George as a deputy sheriff on July 16, 1980. Eight years later, he was assigned to Investigative Services in the Sheriff's Department, where he served until Jan. 1, 1992. At that time, he was promoted to the position of sergeant, in charge of the Patrol Division. Captain Blystone served as a sergeant in both the Sheriff's Department and the Police Department. He rose to the position of police lieutenant in 1996 and, in 2005, attained the rank of police captain. He has faithfully served the citizens of the County during the past 30 years and continues to be committed to law enforcement and public safety in the County.
