Prevention Services Announces Summer Educational Programs

Summary


CHESTERFIELD -- Prevention Services, a division of Chesterfield County Mental Health Support Services, will offer the following schedule of educational programs this summer. Prevention Services staff have expertise in parenting, divorce adjustment and stress management. They provide services to individuals, families, businesses and community groups. To sign up for a program, call the instructor listed. Fee assistance is available for all classes.

- Coping with Your Child's Behavior: The Preschool/Early Elementary Years This class for parents will combine short lectures, group discussions and demonstrations to teach the most effective strategies for handling typical preschool/early elementary behavior. The class will be held Tuesdays, June 22-Aug. 10, 6:30-8 p.m., at Southside Church of the Nazarene. There will be no class July 13. The fee is $50 per family. The instructor will be Whitney Kern, 717- 6547.
