HOPEWELL -- The Colonial Heights Post 284 Pirates, on the brink of elimination, has served notice it has no intention of leaving the American Legion District 11 double elimination tournament anytime soon.

On Sunday, the No. 1 seeded team of the tournament scored four runs in the bottom of then ninth inning to overtake West End Post 361 and lived to see another day.
