The Marriage of Melissa Leigh Carter, Daughter of Walter And... [Derived Headline]

Summary

The marriage of Melissa Leigh Carter, daughter of Walter and Carolyn Carter of Colonial Heights, Va., to Michael Edward Agnew, son of Linda Agnew of Glen Allen, Va., and Edward Agnew of Chadds Ford, Pa., took place on September 20, 2008, at Bon Air Baptist Church in Richmond. The Rev. Norman Burnes and the Rev. Doctor Jeff Ginn performed a Christian ceremony.

The bride was escorted by her father and given in marriage by her parents. The bride wore a strapless ivory silk satin gown by Priscilla of Boston featuring an empire waistline accented with hand beaded crystals and a chapel-length train. Her veil was fingertip- length with scatters of small crystals to create a sparkling touch. In her hair she also wore four pins by Regalia. These pins are an exquisite combination of crystals and pearls. Each pin hosts three snowflake shaped crystal clusters accompanied by six delicate pearls. She carried a hand-tied nosegay of yellow mini calla lilies, light yellow spray roses and stephanotis placed on a small Bible that belonged to her great-great-grandmother.
