Lydia Carr Wright, 68, formerly of Hopewell, died Tuesday, Feb. 20, 2007, in Heritage Hall in Blackstone. She was born in Hopewell, where she spent most of her life. Mrs. Wright was a retired telephone operator. She was the daughter of the late John F. and Pearl Chavis Carr and the widow of Harold Wright.
Mrs. Wright is survived by two daughters, Terri Hyatt and Karen Greene and her husband, Joe, of Newport News; four grandchildren, Natalie Mares and her husband, Thomas, William Joseph Greene, all of Newport News, Rebecca Hyatt and Elizabeth Hyatt, both of Chester; a great-grandson, Kyle Mares of Newport News; a sister, Barbara C.
