Born Feb. 28, 1919, in Richmond, she was daughter of the late Charles R. and Grace Otelia Johns Childress. She was a member of the Newville Baptist Church, Waverly, and was the widow of John A. Tatum.
She is survived by two sons, Richard A. Tatum and his wife, Susan, of Prince George and Bob Owen and his wife, Katie, of Chester; a sister, Thelma Bohatec of Sussex; three grandchildren, Melissa and Stephanie Tatum of Prince George and Mike Owen of Virginia Beach; a great-granddaughter, Sydney M. Owen of Virginia Beach; a stepgrandson, Brian Cooper and a step great-grandson, Bradley Cooper both of Prince George; a sister-in-law, Carrie Walker of Williamsburg; and many nieces and nephews.See the full content of this document
