COLONIAL HEIGHTS -- During its Jan. 8 meeting, City Council unanimously passed resolutions regarding traffic signals on the Boulevard and to appropriate grant funds to revise the city's Emergency Operation Plan.

City Manager Richard A. Anzolut Jr. will be entering into an agreement with the Virginia Department of Transportation to coordinate traffic signals on the Boulevard from Sherwood Drive to Temple Avenue to allow traffic to flow more smoothly and to make the area safer for pedestrians -- a move that may increase waiting times at side streets.
