PETERSBURG -- The Petersburg Generals' brief resurgence last week was largely due to quality hitting, as the team scored 18 runs during a stretch of three wins in four games. But it was back to some familiar bad habits this week -- the Generals have stranded 33 runners on base in their recent four-game losing streak against CPL North Division opponents, when they were outscored 31-4.

Particularly galling was Monday night's doubleheader against Edenton, when the Generals loaded the bases three times in two games but managed just one run.
