Summary


It's been a week of it. I have been busy, but I am not feeling too well. In fact, I was sick all day and night last Tuesday, but I'm much better now. Had some nice folks at the museum, enjoyed them all, but folk are dying out here like I've never seen. I just can't keep up with the funerals. It would take a full-time secretary.

I finally got a gang together and got the grass at the garden and hilled up the crops. Thanks to my pal David Woodard, who brought his tiller down and saved the day. My sons Doug and Jonathan ran the tiller through twice and everything looks great; tomatoes and potatoes are full bloom. I sure hope we made a good garden, because last year was a disaster with the drought. Of course, it can get dry now, but I've got a feeling its going to be bumper year. It's sure time for one with the wether patterns we have had.

Gangs Help Out with the Garden and a Batch of Slumgullum

Last Friday, Steve and Mara Roberts from Wisconsin came by the museum and we had a blast. They loved the museum and I made them feel at home with jokes, stories and a song, too. They left here with smiles after I read their palms and did they get a kick out of that. Yankees, no doubt, but some fine Yankee. I hope they come back soon because it made by day just having them here in Sutherland.
