PETERSBURG -- Friends and family paid tribute to the late, retired Lt. Col. Howard L. Baugh yesterday.

During his lifetime, Baugh flew 135 combat air missions and logged 250 combat flight hours. In total, he amassed 6,000 pilot hours in 15 different types of aircraft.
