Summary
Donna Stinson Doe Southall, 86, of Sutherland, Va., formerly of Arlington, Va., entered glory Sept. 24, 2007, after a brief illness. Mrs. Southall attended New Haven State Teachers College in New Britain, Conn., and Smith College in Massachusetts. Mrs. Southall joined the Navy Waves in 1943 serving in the Cryptography Unit at the Naval Communications Annex in Washington, D.C., where the unit received a Presidential Citation; subsequently she was assigned to the communications division at the Brooklyn Naval Yard, and was honorably discharged in 1951 as a full Lieutenant.
Mrs. Southall was the author of two children's books and an unpublished history of the Etruscans. She was active with her two sons in Boy Scouts who both achieved Eagle Rank.
