DINWIDDIE - The Dinwiddie County Board of Supervisors will begin taking applications early next month to fill a seat on the board that came open when a member resigned two weeks ago.

The board decided to exercise the option it has under state law of appointing a replacement for District 5 Supervisor Michael W. Stone, who submitted a letter of resignation on March 18 citing personal reasons for his departure.
