DINWIDDIE -- Developers wanting to rezone residential property in the county will have to pay a lot more.

The Board of Supervisors voted to raise the cost of proffers from $5,629 to $9,688 per unit in rezoning requests. Proffers are voluntary cash payments from developers used to offset the cost of services provided by the county.
