NEWPORT NEWS - The Rev. Dr. Curtis W. Harris Sr. of Hopewell, is recuperating from emergency surgery in Riverside Regional Hospital in Newport News.

According to information released by the C.W. Harris Empowerment Center in Hopewell, Dr. Harris was admitted to Riverside Regional Hospital early on the morning of Tuesday, Nov. 30, due to severe abdominal pain, and is currently in serious, but stable condition in the Intensive Care Unit.
