Summary


ETTRICK -- Although one arrived a bit late, 14 office-seekers in Chesterfield County converged on the Mayes-Colbert Ettrick Community Building for a forum Tuesday night. They included state Senate, House of Delegates, and county Board of Supervisors and School Board candidates. Each had five minutes to impress the packed room of about 70 voters. Popular topics were Virginia State University and growth in the Matoaca District and the county as a whole.

James McClellan, of the Civic and Progressive Action Association of the Matoaca Magisterial District, was the host for the evening. Going through each group in alphabetical order, the forum kicked off with the four state Senate candidates.
