Two years ago Andrew White III, a talented boys basketball player at Thomas Dale High School, made a difficult decision. But it would be one that would eventually change his life forever.

At that time, he transferred to Miller School in Charlottesville, and reclassified as a junior, and set on a quest to get bigger, stronger, smarter and better, all the while, drawing attention from attention from NCAA Division 1 programs.

Chester Native White to Play College Basketball at Kansas

Mission accomplished.

Now that portion of his life is over and the Chester native has put a stamp on rewards of what that effort brought.

The 6-6, 210-pound senior announced on Friday that he will play his college basketball at the University of Kansas. He did so just before the Mavericks took the floor against Woodberry Forest. Officially, White made a verbal commitment to Kansas, and will sign a NCAA National Letter of Intent in April.
